PEDRA DA GAVEA

The "Pedra da Gavea" is the largest monolithic stone by the sea in the world. Its height is 842 meters and from the top you can see all of Rio de Janeiro: Guanabara Bay, Ipanema, Leblon, São Conrado, Barra da Tijuca, and even beyond the mountainous region of Rio!

Traditional hiking Pedra da Gavea up about two and a half hours and is interspersed with some basic climbing few meters called "Carrasqueira".

The hike is quite difficult with many natural obstacles. However it is not necessary to have technical knowledge in climbing to overcome these barriers. Our guide will accompany you safely. The climbing equipment is included!
